EVIAN SHOWS NEW BOTTLE, AD PUSH
By Adnews Staff
Great Brands of Europe hit the stores with its new bottle for Evian Natural Spring Water this week, and unveiled the 1996 multimedia ad campaign for the water imported from France. The words "purity" and "health" were used many times as officials from Great Brands and its Canadian ad agency, TBWA Chiat/Day in Toronto, described the image being promoted in the national ad push, which uses television, radio, magazines and outdoor. The ad shop's New York and Toronto offices developed the campaign together. The print starts in April, with the other media scheduled to kick in next month. The new plastic bottle, which was introduced in France a year ago, is sculpted in the shape of the French Alps - where Evian water comes from. Plastic for the new bottle has been reformulated so it can be easily crushed, allowing more compact storage in recycling. Great Brands, the distributor of Evian water in North America, is owned by the Paris-based Groupe Danone.
