AVIS BEGINS DRIVE FREE PROMOTION

Avis Rent A Car will conduct a promotion called "Drive Free" until Dec. 16. Customers who rent vehicles three times during the promotion will receive a free weekend rental. Customers must register the Avis.ca Web site or by calling the Avis reservation centre. The North American initiative is being promoted at <http://www.avis.ca>. Officials at Avis Canada could not be reached to discuss any additional advertising plans.
