MOLSON, NAPSTER BEGIN JOINT PROMOTION

Montreal-based Molson has entered a partnership with online music store Napster to make this service the official music supplier of the Molsondry.com Web site. The two companies will conduct various joint promotions, the first of which began this week. Visitors who become members of Club MD at Molsondry.com will be eligible to win one of ten weekly five-song downloads from Napster. This Quebec-only promotion will run until November. These members will also be eligible to win one of three grand prizes of a year of unlimited access to the Napster music collection. Molson used henderson bas of Toronto on this promotion. Molson will handle public relations for the Napster deal in-house. Outside of Quebec, the brewer will tie Napster to the Molson Canadian brand. A number of promotions will run on the Iam.ca site.
