The Canadian Mental Health Association has won the Good Cause award. The competition was created by Frank Palmer, chairman of DDB Canada, and was largely sponsored by CanWest Global Communications. The association will receive a national public service campaign created by DDB Canada. The television and newspaper campaign will break in the spring of 2005 and run until the end of that year on Global TV and in CanWest newspapers nationally. Environmental Defence, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Canada, The Sierra Club of Canada Foundation and Volunteer Canada were also considered for the prize. Additional sponsors of the award include Telus, Metropolitan Fine Printers, Tribal DDB and Karacters Design Group.
