USED OIL PROGRAM BEGINS ADVERTISING AND PR EFFORTS

The British Columbia Used Oil Management Association has begun a radio advertising campaign to raise awareness of the proper way to recycle used oil, oil filters and plastic oil contains. The campaign, created by Grey Worldwide Northwest of Vancouver, is aimed at men 25 to 55 years of age. The creative links various stereotypically male activities to the improper disposal of used oil materials. The ads will run on various stations in the province through October. A public relations awareness campaign will take place at the same time. The association will be present at a number of community events and information kits will be distributed.
