GLOBE AND MAIL PROMOTES ENTERTAINMENT GUIDE
By Adnews Staff
The Globe and Mail newspaper is promoting the upcoming launch of a new weekly entertainment guide called 7 with advertising created by Naked Creative Consultancy of Toronto. The guide will debut on Friday as a pullout section in the Metro edition of the newspaper. It will replace the Friday edition of Globe Review, which will continue to run Saturday to Thursday in the national editions. The new section will cover movies, music, theatre, television and games. The content will consist of reviews, listings and features. The advertising for the guide uses the tagline, "You've got 7 days to live. Live it." The campaign includes print ads, projection lights, outdoor posters, washroom ads, radio commercials and newspaper ads. Media buying is being managed by Gaggi Media Communications of Toronto. The guide is also being promoted with a contest. Entrants must submit a list of seven favourite movies, songs or television shows to win a prize package. The contest is being managed by Black & Co. Public relations and street marketing are being handled by Environics Communications and Free For All Marketing of Toronto.
