MDC BUYS SHARE OF ZIG

Toronto-based MDC Partners has purchased a 49.9% interest in Toronto-based creative agency Zig. Zig was founded in 1999 by Andy Macaulay, Lorraine Tao and Elspeth Lynn. Its clients include Unilever Canada, Ikea Canada, Shoppers Drug Mart, W Network, Greenpeace and Mr. Sub. This year MDC has also bought into Henderson Bas of Toronto, Bruce Mau Design of Toronto, Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners of New York, Cliff Freeman & Partners of New York and Mono of Minneapolis.
