MCDONALD'S HOLDS OLYMPIC SPIRIT PROMOTION

McDonald's Restaurants of Canada will hold a national one-day sandwich giveaway on Friday to promote Olympic spirit. Customers who purchase eligible menu items will receive a coupon for a free sandwich. The offer is being promoted with a television ad called "Go Ronald Go", a radio ad called "Olympic Sounds" and a newspaper ad. French versions will air in Quebec. McDonald's is also using a real time clock at Mcdonalds.ca to count down the hours, minutes and seconds until the promotion starts. Advertising was done by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Toronto. Public relations for McDonald's are handled by Weber Shandwick Worldwide, also of Toronto.
