PARMALAT READIES SECOND SPONGEBOB PROMOTION

Parmalat Canada will conduct a back-to-school promotion featuring Nickelodeon cartoon character SpongeBob SquarePants for a second year. This year's "SpongeBob Flip Flapper" promotion will coincide with the Nov. 19 release of the SpongeBob SquarePants movie. More than three million specially marked packages of Black Diamond Cheestrings, Black Diamond Process Cheese Slices and Astro Yo-burst Yogurt will contain a movie screen flip flapper that features one of three different movie scenes from the upcoming SpongeBob movie. In Quebec, participating brands include Lactantia Process Cheese Slices and Lactantia Ficello. Consumers will also have the chance to instantly win SpongeBob prizes by checking a PIN number found on packaging at <www.spongebobflips.ca> (www.boblepongeflicflac.ca in Quebec). A second contest, consumers enter online or by mail, will award a trip for four to Orlando, FL. The SpongeBob Flip Flapper promotion is being supported with a 15-second television tag, POS materials and print ads. The promotion along with all supporting materials were developed by Millenium of Vaughan, ON.
