CHARMIN TO REJUVENATE CNE WASHROOMS

Procter & Gamble will make over washrooms at the Canadian National Exhibition this year to promote the Charmin Ultra brand of toilet paper. The public washrooms on the east side of the Food Building at the fair will be upgraded by a "washroom rejuvenation team" to include aromatherapy, potted plants, background music, television sets and uniformed attendants. The brand's spokescharacter, Leonard the Charmin Bear, will also be present for photographs with patrons. The CNE will begin on Aug. 20. The washroom rejuvenation promotion was used earlier this year during Klondike Days in Edmonton, and will be used again at the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver. The company also brought a Charmin Ultra "Potty Palooza" truck containing 27 mobile bathrooms to this year's Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.
