PUBLICIS CREATES NEW CARAMILK COMMERCIAL

Publicis of Toronto has created a new 30-second television commercial for the Cadbury Adams Caramilk bar. The ad preserves the concept of the "Caramilk Secret." In it, a woman asks a man who is eating a Caramilk bar, "Ever wonder how they get the caramel in there?" The man says, "No." He then remembers driving a landscaping truck off the road while staring at a Caramilk. He says, "Actually, there was this one time." The ad uses the tagline, "Lose yourself in the memory." English- and French-language versions of the advertisment will run through the summer on specialty stations. A 10-second version will air during broadcasts of "Canadian Idol."
