COCA-COLA RESUMES THIRST FOR SOCCER PROGRAM
By Adnews Staff
Coca-Cola has resumed a touring promotion for Powerade called "Thirst For Soccer" for a third year. The initiative, created by Toronto-based TrojanOne, will visit 80 Canadian soccer tournaments between May and September. The program consists of a sampling tent for players and staff, a branded inflatable soccer game and a tournament leader board. The program also includes a fundraising initiative by which the profits from the sale of Powerade shirts will be donated to the host soccer clubs. This year the program will also be tied to Coca-Cola's sponsorship of EURO 2004. All players will receive a EURO 2004 commemorative poster. Winners of the Thirst for Soccer challenge will receive EURO 2004 T-shirts.
