COUPLES MAGAZINE DEBUTS

The first issue of a new lifestyle magazine for couples 25 to 34 years of age was released last week. The quarterly publication, called 2 magazine, is produced by Toronto-based 2 for Life Media. It will cover money, sex, relationships, careers, fashion, food, travel and cars. Advertisers in the premier issue include Tommy Hilfiger, Mazda, Colgate, Toyota, Royal Doulton and Ford. The magazine will be distributed on newsstands and by subscription. Eighty thousand copies will also be sent to qualified couples of the Hudson's Bay Company gift registry. According to publisher Diane Hall, the magazine will also seek to increase its profile by participating in consumer shows.
