ANNUAL WORK SAFETY CAMPAIGN RESUMES IN ALBERTA

A work safety campaign called "Heads Up" began in Alberta yesterday. The campaign is an initiative of The Alberta Construction Safety Association, Alberta Human Resources and Employment, Manufacturers' Health and Safety Association, Alberta Hotel Safety Association and the Workers' Compensation Board of Alberta. This is the annual campaign's sixth year. It consists of radio commercials, posters and magazine articles aimed at males aged 18-34 who are new to their work site. The campaign is also aimed at employers. The advertising was created by Circus Advertising of Edmonton. The first flight of the campaign will run until June 20. A second flight will run from Sept. 13 to Oct. 3.
