WARWICK TO BUY AXION
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Warwick Communications is set to purchase Axion Integrated Marketing. Warwick will issue one common share for each 1.667 common shares of Axion in a deal valued at $336,000. Axion was founded in Alberta in 1998. Clients of the event marketing company include FedEx, MCI, Telus and Bombardier. Warwick chairman Jim Williamson said the acquisition gives Warwick an "instance entrance into the marketing and event communications industries." Warwick was founded as Warwick Publishing in 1990. Its name was changed to Warwick Communications in 1997 when the company's assets were acquired by TBC Investments.
