GILBERT + DAVIS WIN THE ASSOCIATION ACCOUNT

Toronto-based Gilbert + Davis Communications has won the creative advertising portion of The Lung Association account. The agency, which was hired without a review, will first work on a print and radio awareness campaign for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease to begin next month. A campaign in support of new legislation banning smoking in Toronto bars and clubs will follow in the summer. According to Eileen McAlear, director of marketing and communications for the association, the organization previously used graphic designers on a project basis The media portion of The Lung Association account will remain at MindShare and Troutbeck.
