TIM HORTONS RESUMES RIM ROLLING CONTEST

Tim Hortons began its annual "Roll Up the Rim to Win" promotion last week. The coffee and donut chain is supporting the contest, in which customers check the rims of beverage cups to win prizes, with a new advertising campaign from Enterprise Creative Selling of Toronto. In one English-language television ad, a man chases his empty cup when it is blown out of his hand. In an ad made for the chain's U.S. markets, an office worker tries to decide which cup of coffee to give to a colleague. The contest is also being promoted with radio, outdoor and in-store advertising. The campaign will run for five weeks.
