NESTLE CANADA PROMOTES SMARTIES BAR

Toronto-based Nestle Canada is promoting a Smarties chocolate bar. The product, released last month, is a combination of mini-Smarties candies and milk or white chocolate. The product, packaging and advertising were developed in Canada. Television advertising began this month. A 12-second tag describing the product has been added to an existing Smarties commercial. The ad uses the tagline, "Just try and eat the red ones last." The advertising, created by J. Walter Thompson of Toronto, will run for the year.
