UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOME VIDEO HIRES THREE AGENCIES

Toronto-based Universal Studios Home Video Canada has appointed Capital C, The Takamatsu Group and Gencom, all located in Toronto, as promotional agencies of record. The company issued a request for proposals last month which drew about a dozen submissions, according to Universal. The three agencies will work on "ongoing home video projects." Universal spends $4 million annually on promotions, the company said. Its recent releases include Hulk, Bruce Almighty and Seabiscuit. Previously Universal used several promotional agencies on a project basis. Public relations for Universal Studios Home Video are handled by Thornley Fallis Communications of Toronto.
