TIM HORTONS CONTINUES TRUE STORIES CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
This week Tim Hortons will release a new execution in its True Stories advertising campaign. The campaign features stories based on real customer experiences. It has been running for almost ten-years, with one new commercial being released each year. The new 60-second spot tells the story of "Jeff," a Canadian travelling throughout Europe. Jeff's travels are shared via letters he sends home to his parents. In Jeff's latest letter, he explains how his Tim Hortons' cup has been helping him to meet Canadians. As the letter is read, shots of Jeff's travels throughout Europe are seen. The letter continues with Jeff reminding his Dad to bring him a large double-double when his Dad picks him up at the airport. The ad closes with Jeff on his way home and his father stopping at a Tim Hortons on his way to the airport. The commercial is scheduled to run nationally until mid-February. Advertising for Tim Hortons is done by Enterprise Creative Selling of Toronto. Enterprise also developed the concept for the True Stories campaign.
