ENERGIZER RELEASES NEW CANADIAN CREATIVE
By Adnews Staff
Palmer Jarvis DDB of Toronto has created a new television advertising campaign for Energizer Canada. This is the first original television creative the agency has developed for Energizer. Previous creative was adapted from U.S. materials. The campaign consists of two 30-second commercials called "Northern Lights" and "Yard Sale" that began running late last month. In the first ad a group of tourists admires the northern lights. The next scene shows that the lights come from the flashlights of a group of boys camped in the woods. In the second ad a teenage boy on a skateboard stops at a yard sale and buys a porcelain figurine. He takes the two Energizer batteries from the figurine, puts them in his pocket and tosses the figurine in a recycling box. The ads end with the line, "Energizer, do you have the bunny inside?" The campaign is the latest phase in an on-going marketing effort Palmer Jarvis undertook for Energizer Max Batteries in September. The ads will run nationally through the holidays.
