FERRERO CANADA BEGINS MAGICODE PROMOTION

Ferrero Canada has begun a new promotion for Kinder Surprise chocolate eggs. The eggs now come with a "magicode" in addition to a toy. The code gives a user 20 minutes of time to play online games at the <http://www.magic-kinder.com> Web site. Two television commercials are promoting the magicodes. The first, aimed at children, was created by Legas Delaney of London, England. The second is aimed at mothers. It was created by Garneau Würstlin Philp Brand Engineering of Toronto. The ads are running during some national network programs, supported with a theatre campaign in Quebec. During September and October, interactive kiosks will also be installed at 18 Canadian shopping malls. The kiosks, from InStore Focus, are intended to raise awareness of the magicodes. The company estimates that 1.2 million children will be able to play the online games through these kiosks. Further support will include new packaging with a new rainbow logo. The packaging and logo were designed by Wunderman.
