LA PRESSE DEBUTS NEW LOOK

A re-designed La Presse debuts today. The project was headed by newspaper designer Lucie Lacava. The Montreal daily now has more content, updated graphics, colour-coded indicators, an "airier" layout and more photos. On Thursdays the paper will publish LP2, a weekly guide to events in the Montreal area. On Saturdays the paper will include an expanded Actuel Magazine. A new Sunday section called A vos affaires will focus on money and the economy. The daily Monde section will cover international current events. The La Presse Affaires section will include a new forum subsection on Mondays. A new advertising campaign for the paper will begin this fall. The television, radio and billboard ads, created by Cossette Communication-Marketing, will use the newspaper's new tagline "Saisir le present" (Catch the Moment).
