KODAK, DISNEY HOME VIDEO BEGIN LION KING PROMOTION

Kodak Canada and Disney Home Video have begun a promotion tied to the recent release of the Lion King Special Edition DVD and video. Customers who purchase a specially marked Kodak film or one-time use camera and the movie will receive a Lion King puppet. The initiative will run until Dec. 31, supported by national television advertising in November and December, 5.4 million free-standing inserts in approximately 200 daily newspapers, photo-finishing stuffers and the packaging of Kodak Max one-time-use cameras. The promotion was developed by Kodak staff and B-Street Communications. The advertising was done by Ogilvy & Mather. The media buying was done by MindShare Canada. Public relations for Kodak are handled by Hunter LaVigne Communications of Aurora, ON.
