EAST SIDE MARIO'S BEGINS TETTRAZINI, WORLD CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIPS PROMOTIONS

East Side Mario's has begun a promotion called "Tribute to Tettrazini." The effort will run until Nov. 24, supported by a new television commercial created by TOP Advertising of Toronto. The 15-second ad shows three chefs and spokescharacter Vinnie singing about tettrazini in an East Side Mario's restaurant. The chefs wear exaggerated outfits and sing in tenor. The customers, wearing formal outfits, clap politely when the chefs finish. The ad will air for four weeks in the Maritimes, Ontario and Quebec, starting Monday. The ad will run for three weeks in Alberta. A 30-second radio ad will also run in Ontario and Quebec.
East Side Mario's has also begun a "Kids Eat Free" promotion tied to the World Cycling Championships soon to take place in Hamilton. Restaurants in Dundas, Stoney Creek, Waterdown, Burlington and on Upper James Street will participate in the promotion. Children under 10 years of age will be eligible for the offer when an adult entree is purchased during the competition. The offer is being promoted with a 30-second radio ad on stations Y108 and CHML during the competition. Y108 will also encourage listeners to enter a contest called the Big Daddy Showdown, in which adults will race tricycles for $400 in East Side Mario's gift certificates.
