IBM BUYS SOFTWARE COMPANY

IBM Canada has bought Ottawa-based software firm Object Technology International. OTI makes software that programmers use to develop applications. IBM already uses the company's technology in its VisualAge products. OTI will operate as a subsidiary of IBM.
