XBOX CANADA TO RELEASE NEW BRANDING

A new global marketing campaign for Microsoft's Xbox video game console will start in Canada next month. The campaign will introduce a new tagline: "It's good to play together." The line was developed by the company and Landor Associates. Advertising in the U.S., created by McCann Erickson, began in entertainment and gaming magazines this month. Broadcast advertising will break on Aug. 25. The elements of the campaign that will run in Canada have not yet been determined. Advertising for Xbox Canada is done by MacLaren McCann of Toronto. Public relations are handled by High Road Communications, also of Toronto.
