CANADIAN TIRE READIES LONG WEEKEND GAS PROMOTION

Toronto-based Canadian Tire is will begin a "5 cent Friday" gas promotion today. Every 15 minutes between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., one pump at 13 gas bar locations in Canada will be randomly selected. The customer at that pump will receive their fuel for $0.05 per litre. The participating gas bars are in Edmonton, Red Deer, Winnipeg, Toronto, Barrie and Ottawa. The promotion will be promoted with local remote radio broadcasts from the participating stations during the event.
