BELL SYMPATICO RELEASES SECURITY INFOMERCIAL

Bell Sympatico is promoting a new line of online security services with a 30-minute infomercial produced by Toronto-based Northern Lights Direct Response Television. The services promoted in the infomercial include a firewall, parental controls and virus protection. According to Rob Payne, director of marketing for Sympatico, the infomercial format was chosen to provide time to describe the services in detail. The English-language infomercial is running on the SHOP TV and Omni networks in Ontario only. Media buying was handled by Cossette Communication-Marketing. This is the third infomercial Northern Lights has produced for Bell Sympatico. The first two, which ran in 2000 and 2001, promoted the company's high speed Internet service.
