KATZ GROUP BECOME TENNIS CANADA NAMING SPONSOR

Pharmacy operator Katz Group Canada has signed a ten-year sponsorship agreement with Tennis Canada. The financial details are not known. Katz is now the primary naming sponsor for Tennis Canada's new national tennis centre. The facility will be called the Rexall Centre after a Katz Group private label brand. Construction of the centre, located on the York University campus in Toronto, is expected to be complete for the 2004 Tennis Masters Canada tournament next summer. Katz Group's PharmAssist brand is already the official drugstore retailer of Tennis Canada's tennis series. Katz Group chains include Pharma Plus Drugmarts, Guardian, Herbies, Rexall, I.D.A. and MediTrust.
