PHARMA PLUS, REXALL DRUG STORES ISSUE TEEN LOYALTY CARD

Pharma Plus Drugmarts and Pharmx Rexall Drug Stores have introduced a loyalty program aimed at teens called the Munchie Mania card. The program is in association with Air Miles, Pepsi, Doritos and Sight and Sound Productions. Users of the card will receive a free 80g bag of Doritos and 600 ml Pepsi product with a purchase of $20 at a Pharma Plus or Rexall drug store in Ontario. The cards will be distributed at Sight and Sound high school dance parties in Ontario in May and June. Two weeks prior to each party, posters promoting the event and the card will be installed at the school. A Munchie Mania booth will be set up at the event. The cards are valid until June 4. Users of the card can also continue to collect Air Miles at both chains. Pharma Plus and Pharmx Rexall are owned by Edmonton-based Katz Group Canada. The concept for the Munchie Mania program was developed in-house.
