YELLOW PAGES ACQUIRES CANADAPLUS.CA

Montreal-based Yellow Pages Group has acquired the CanadaPlus.ca group of city guide Web sites from Sympatico. The financial details are not known. The deal includes the sites MontrealPlus.ca, QuebecPlus.ca, OttawaPlus.ca, CalgaryPlus.ca, EdmontonPlus.ca and VancouverPlus.ca. The sites carry information about local arts and entertainment, weather, news and community information. Yellow Pages Group distributes print Yellow Pages directories and the alphabetical white pages. The company also manages the YellowPages.ca, Canada411.ca and CanadaTollFree.ca Web sites.
