By Adnews Staff
Coca-Cola will release two new 15-second television commercials for Sprite Ice this month. The the ads will promote a new mint-flavoured version of the lemon-lime beverage that was introduced last month. In the first ad, called "Skater," Pierre-Luc Gagnon skateboards on a hot day. Everyone around him is sweating. Gagnon is wearing a snowsuit. He opens a bottle of Sprite Ice. A voiceover says, "Surprisingly cool Sprite Ice. Dress appropriately." The second ad, called "Dunk," depicts a neighbourhood basketball game on a hot day. A player in a winter jacket, boots and gloves dunks the ball. The same voiceover is used. Advertising for Sprite Ice is done by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Toronto. Public relations for Coca-Cola are handled by APEX Public Relations, also of Toronto.
