UNITED AIRLINES ASSIGNS MORE WORK TO ADVANTEX

Toronto-based Advantex Marketing International has signed an agreement with United Airlines to develop a shopping program for the airline's Mileage Plus loyalty program. Members will receive miles for purchases made at participating local, regional and national retailers. Members will also be able to pre-register a credit card with Advantex to automatically receive miles when the card is used. The program is expected to launch this fall. Last fall Advantex constructed a shopping Web site for members of the airline's loyalty program at <http://www.mileageplusmall.com>. Program members receive miles for purchases from the retailers on the site. Public relations for Advantex are handled by Gail Bergman PR of Toronto.
