CANJET INTRODUCES SMARTREWARDS PROGRAM

CanJet Airlines of Halifax has introduced a new loyalty program for its customers called "SmartRewards." Registered customers receive 1,000 points for each one-way trip. According to Wayne Morrison, director of sales and community relations for CanJet, the program is being promoted with print and radio advertising as well as through direct communication with CanJet customers. The print and radio ads also describe a two-week bonus offer of 250 points for customers fly before May 14. Advertising and media buying for CanJet are handled by Creative Outdoor Advertising of Halifax. The loyalty program was developed in-house.
