The contest is running at 3,200 Canadian retail outlets where Hallmark cards are sold. The winner's mother will have a rose named after her. The winner will also receive a $25,000 garden makeover from Mark Cullen. Entry is by in-store ballots. Marketing includes a point-of-sale package from Capital C and a national television campaign by Leo Burnett, according to Paul Berto, manager of advertising and promotions at Hallmark. Public relations for Hallmark are handled by Strategic Objectives. All of agencies are based in Toronto. The contest will run until May 11.
