GREY STAFFERS WIN YOUNG CREATIVES COMPETITION

Writer Matt Bielby and art director Sam Cerullo won the Grand Prix at the Young Creative Competition on Wednesday night. The pair, from Grey Worldwide, entered a poster advertising Molson Stock Ale. The assignment was to reposition the brand as a "distinctive beer for young drinkers." The poster depicts a group of men playing cards. The copy reads, "Sure, old guys at the legion drink this beer. Then again, old guys at the legion kicked serious Nazi ass." The tagline is, "Hike up your skirt Nancy." The ad also won gold in the poster category. Bielby and Cerullo will represent Canada at the International Young Creative Competition at the Cannes Festival in June.
