CANADIAN HOCKEY ASSOCIATION CAMPAIGN PICKED UP BY U.S.A. HOCKEY

A national public service campaign from the Canadian Hockey Association that ran last fall has been picked up by U.S.A. Hockey, the national governing body for hockey in the U.S. Called "Relax, it's just a game," the campaign was created to address the pressure parents place on their children. One television ad, called "Groceries," is being adapted to run in U.S. markets. The commercial depicts a girl yelling at her mother to "punch her lights out" when their shopping car is hit by another woman. The ad concludes with the copy, "What if kids pressured us the way we pressure them? Relax. It's just a game" U.S.A. Hockey will distribute the commercial to local and national television outlets and to teams in the National Hockey League, the American Hockey League, and the East Coast Hockey League for display on jumbotrons and TV networks. The campaign was created by Palmer Jarvis DDB of Vancouver.
