CANADIAN TIRE HOLDS OPENING FOR RENOVATED FLAGSHIP STORE
By Adnews Staff
Canadian Tire officially re-opened its renovated flagship store in downtown Toronto last week after a year of construction. Grand opening promotions for the store, located at Yonge Street and Church Street, included a $0.37 gas sale, to commemorate the year the store originally opened, and a parade on Yonge Street. Radio ads on Toronto station CHUM promoted the gas sale. A special flyer was created. Canadian Tire is also using transit advertising in the campaign. The promotional activities and advertising were handled in-house. The renovated store, 65,000 square feet in size, has three shopping levels, specialty shops for some departments and a "power aisle" on the main level.
