BEST WESTERN HOLDS $10 MILLION CHALLENGE

Best Western International of Phoenix, AZ began a contest called the $10 million Challenge last week. The hotel chain will select ten guests to participate in one of four sports challenges on national television during which they could win up to $1 million. Guests who stay at a Best Western property in Canada or the U.S. between April 16 and June 20 will receive an entry form for the contest. Members of Best Western's Gold Crown Club frequent travel program who pay for a stay with a MasterCard will also be entered into a Gold Crown Club million point giveaway contest. The $10 million challenge will take place on July 26. It will be broadcast on the Fox Network in the U.S. and on TSN in Canada. Best Western is promoting the contest with in-room materials and exposure at the <http://www.bestwestern.com> Web site. Television advertising focusing on the challenge will broke on Saturday. The concept, the supporting materials and the advertising were developed by Davis Media Group of Baltimore, MD. Best Western operates 2,300 properties in Canada and the U.S.
