SCOTTS CANADA CAMPAIGN EXPLAINS PRODUCTS

Scotts Canada has begun a national advertising campaign describing how its products provide the results they do. Scotts, based in Mississauga, manufactures consumer lawn and garden products. The new advertising campaign consists of television and radio ads created by Young & Rubicam of Toronto. The commercials promote two products: Turf Builder lawn fertilizer and Pure Premium grass seeds. The creative explains how Scotts products produce a thick, green lawn. According to Betsy Gallacher, director of marketing for Scotts Canada, while previous advertising has shown lush lawns, it has never explained how the company's products work. The English-language campaign broke late last month and will run until June.
