COSSETTE BUYS TARSITANO CREATIVE

Quebec-based Cossette Communication Group has purchased, through its Cossette Post New York office, Tarsitano Creative, a direct marketing agency also based in New York. The agency will operate as Cossette Tarsitano. The price is not known, but it includes a closing cash payment and future cash payments based on the financial performance of Tarsitano over the next three years. "This acquisition represents a strategic step in building our presence in the U.S.," said Claude Lessard, chairman and chief executive officer of Cossette Communication Group. Clients of Tarsitano include MasterCard International, Columbia House, Quicken Loans and Gateway Learning. North American clients of Cossette include Amica Mutual Insurance Company, Bell Canada, Coca-Cola, General Mills Canada, General Motors of Canada, The Home Depot, KeySpan Energy, McDonald's Restaurants of Canada, Molson Breweries and TD Waterhouse.
