TORONTO.COM TARGETS TORONTO UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

City guide toronto.com is targeting Toronto university students with a new advertising campaign running on Zoom Media's campus display faces. Posters designed to increase traffic to the Web site began appearing in March, accompanied by an interactive promotion during which students can win prizes online. "Students are an important segment for toronto.com," said Brent Peterson, creative director of Round Table Advertising, the agency behind the campaign. "Not only are they some of the first out to the newest bars, clubs and restaurants in the city, they have the time and stamina to check them all out." One ad shows a large jar of pain relievers and copying saying that toronto.com "features 617 bars." Another ad shows feet soaking in a tub and the copy "over 85 dance clubs." The tagline is "toronto.com. All you need to know about T.O." The campaign will run until the end of April.
