BELL RENEWS SPONSORSHIP OF CANADIAN OPEN

Bell Canada has renewed its title sponsorship of The Royal Canadian Golf Association's Canadian Open tournament. The financial details of the three-year extension, which will run from 2004 to 2006, are not known. Bell has been the title sponsor of the event for nine years. The current five-year sponsorship agreement is in its last year. The 2003 Bell Canadian Open will take place at Hamilton Golf and Country Club in Hamilton, ON from Sept. 1 to 7. The 2004 event will be held at Glen Abbey Golf Course in Oakville, ON. In 2005 and 2006 the tournaments will occur in British Columbia and Quebec. As title sponsor, Bell will have exposure on all event communications and materials as well as signage on the courses. Bell will also collaborate with golf association on marketing communications plans for the events. A print and radio campaign for the 2003 event will run in July and August. The creative will be done by Q30 Design of Toronto. The media buying is handled by Cossette Media.
