MASSIV, IMPACT MEDIA PROMOTE POOLHALL JUNKIES

Youth marketing agency Masev Communications of Vancouver has been assigned a street marketing campaign for the film "Poolhall Junkies," distributed in Canada by Equinoxe Films of Montreal. Promotional workers will visit youth retail, recreation and entertainment locations in an effort to raise awareness of the film through "intercept-marketing strategies." In addition, the Equinoxe has become the first advertiser to use Toronto-based Impact Media's display faces in Canadian bowling centres. Posters, measuring seven feet by 14 feet and seven feet by 31 feet, run along the inside walls of the bowling lanes. For this campaign, the posters have been placed in locations that also have pool tables. The film opened on March 21.
