By Adnews Staff
Canadian Tire and Budget Canada have signed a five-year agreement by which Budget Car and Truck Rental kiosks will be installed in the parking lots of up to 100 Canadian Tire over the next two years. Members of Canadian Tire's Auto Club and auto service customers will receive discounted vehicle rental rates from Budget. Later this year, Canadian Tire Options MasterCard customers will begin receiving Canadian Tire money when they rent vehicles from Budget using the cards. As part of the agreement, Budget will purchase fuel and car wash services from Canadian Tire, use Canadian Tire Auto Service centres to maintain its vehicles, purchase uniforms from Mark's Work Wearhouse, which is owned by Canadian Tire, and participate in joint marketing programs. The first of these, a promotion called "Free Car for Life," will begin this month.
