By Adnews Staff
Montreal-based newspaper publisher Gesca has partnered with NewsStand, based in Austin, TX, to produce an electronic edition of its daily newspaper La Presse. The premiere electronic edition debuted yesterday. The digital version replicates the page layout of the print edition, including articles, photos, graphics and advertising. Additional features include adjustable print sizes and a search function. The electronic edition will be issued daily before 5:00 a.m. Subscriptions to the service can be purchased for one-day, weekly or weekend durations, among others. An advertising campaign for the product, created by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Montreal, will break today. The campaign will include banner ads in La Presse's print edition and online support on Gesca's news Web site <http://www.cyberpresse.ca>. Other publications with NewsStand versions include The Globe and Mail, New York Times, Le Monde, Die Presse, Boston Globe, China Daily, International Herald Tribune and Harvard Business Review.
