NEW GENERAL MANAGER AT OTTAWA CITIZEN

CanWest Global Communications has promoted Jim Orban to general manager of the Ottawa Citizen. Orban replaces Gordon Fisher, who has been interim publisher since June 2002 when former publisher Russell Mills was dismissed from the position. Orban joined the Ottawa Citizen for the first time in 1975. He returned in 1994. Most recently he was vice-president of sales and marketing.
