NABS TO HOLD 12TH MEDIA AD AUCTION

The National Advertising Benevolent Society will hold its annual Media Ad Auction on Feb. 17. Now in its 12th year, the fundraising program offers buyers an inventory of media starting at 50% off the rate-card value. National, regional and local ad space in this year's auction has been contributed by media companies including Alliance Atlantis Communications, Bell Globemedia, Captivate Network, CanWest Global, CBC Television, CHUM, Corus Entertainment, Pattison Outdoor, Rogers Media, Standard Broadcasting, Torstar Media Group, Transcontinental Media and Viacom Outdoor Canada. An advertising campaign using the copy "We've Made it Easy to Buy Great Media" will promote the auction. The campaign was created pro-bono by FCB Canada. The auction will run until April 26. New this year is a Web site at <http://www.nabsauction.org> where registration and bidding can take place. Those who register will receive updates on the inventory and bid status.
