GILLETTE BEGINS ORAL-B TELEVISION CAMPAIGN

The Gillette Company of Boston will release a new north American advertising campaign for its Oral-B product line on Monday. The television ad will introduce a new tagline, "Oral-B. Brush Like a Dentist," that will be used to promote the company's power and manual toothbrushes. The 30-second commercial was created by BBDO New York. It shows "dental experts" in a laboratory setting with Oral-B products. Advertising for two new toothbrushes, the CrossAction Vitalizer and CrossAction Power, will break during the first half of 2003. Public relations for Gillette are handled by Porter Novelli of New York.
